Toastiest Winter Pop Ups in London

Date: 30 Nov 2017

Queen of Hoxton's Moroccan Medina

The Queen of Hoxton gives Majorelle Gardens vibes this winter. The spot on the Shoreditch skyline has been transformed, with giant cacti, fairy lights, pretty lanterns patterned cushions, rugs, throws and lots of candlelight, as well as a tasty selection of food and drink.

Never missing a beat when it comes to a theme for its rooftop hangout, this winter at Queen of Hoxton is set to be no different as the Shoreditch pub looks to warmer climates for the sky-high space.

Feel in the festive spirit with gin-spiked Casablancan mint tea and piping hot espresso martinis, feast on halloumi fries, mezze and tagine and warm the hell up inside the giant wigwam snug. Serious desert vibes.

Roof East

Get your gear in order and ascend to the Stratford rooftop for The Social Fun and Games Club's wintery incarnation. It's all neon curling lanes and igloo dining dens for snuggling up and escaping the cool night air.

Old- school winter attire is a-must at the 80s-inspired ski lodge bar and street food is on theme with raclette and hearty hog roasts.

Roof East's undercover and heated bar, with space for 200 merry makers and 360 views of East London. Liquid libations come courtesy of award winning bar team, Spirited Mixers, with a selection of craft beers, wines and thermos flasks full of delicious hot cocktail.

Apres London

Think there is no Apres with out Ski? Think again. Situated next to Borough Market, the Apres lodge will be open seven days a week from December 7 for eggnog, live music and Christmassy grub. Get seriously cosy at the Flat Iron Square's pop-up.

Finnish Rooftop Sauna

If you're venturing near central, head down to The Southbank Centre to feel the festive fluff in overdrive. Its Wintertime festival runs annually throughout November and December and the highlight in 2017 is a toasty treat: a pop-up Finnish sauna set in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden with ace views of the Thames. Strip off and warm up to a steamy 90 degrees before sipping warming tipples under blankets in a Scandi-inspired rooftop bar. It's peak cosiness.
