Explore the best of one of Europe’s sunniest capitals with our 3-day guide to Lisbon.

Whether you're booked and ready to go or just pondering your next weekend break, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite spots for the perfect weekend in Lisbon. Explore nearby nature and beaches alongside the iconic seven hills of Lisbon’s cityscape.

Day one – Explore the city.

Spend a day exploring one of Europe's oldest capital cities. Start your morning with a coffee and freshly made Portuguese pastries at our on-site Café Castro's, or head straight into town for a delicious breakfast at Heim or a classic pastel de nata from Manteigaria

Wander through the historic neighborhoods of Graça and Alfama, taking in the panoramic views across the city from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte. Refuel with a tasty bifana from As Bifanas do Afonso. For a bit of shopping, explore the ceramic and tile offerings at Cortiço & Netos or Depozito

As evening falls, enjoy drinks at Praça das Flores with a glass of wine from Black Sheep Wine Bar, followed by dinner at nearby Bar Alimentar, or stroll down to Zapata for authentic Portuguese delights.

Day two – Make the most of Sintra.

Head out to Sintra to explore lush nature, fairytale-like castles, and epic views across the region. You can easily hop on the local train from Rossio Station or grab a cab for a quick ride.

Once there, don't miss the chance to visit Pena PalaceCastelo dos Mouros, and Quinta da Regaleira. After exploring, enjoy lunch in the town center and indulge in one of Sintra's famous pastries, Travesseiros

If you have a car, make sure to visit some of Sintra's stunning beaches, like Praia Grande and Azenhas do Mar.

Day three – A day for relaxing.

Start your day with a stroll around Jardim da Estrela for a taste of local life, or head to Tapada das Necessidades for some of the best views of the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge.

Afterward, make your way down to Lisbon's docks for a local lunch at Rui dos Pregos, or venture out to Belém to explore the MAAT museum and Jerónimos Monastery

If you're in the mood for a quick dip, grab a cab to Costa de Caparica, where you can surf or simply relax by the sea.
