What is the Berlin Occupancy Tax and how much is it?

The Berlin Occupancy Tax is a fee applied to stays in Berlin, currently set at 5% of the total price of the apartment (excluding extras and add-ons). This tax is charged for up to a maximum of 21 nights and is billed to the provided payment card upon arrival. If an apartment reservation is canceled before arrival, the City Tax is not charged.

Important update: Starting January 1st, 2025, the Occupancy Tax will increase to 7.5%.
